Feeling unworthy?

Gospel LK 5:27-32

Jesus saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the customs post.
He said to him, “Follow me.”
And leaving everything behind, he got up and followed him.
Then Levi gave a great banquet for him in his house,
and a large crowd of tax collectors
and others were at table with them.
The Pharisees and their scribes complained to his disciples, saying,
“Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”
Jesus said to them in reply,
“Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do.
I have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners.”
Was it really that easy for Jesus to attract disciples?  He says "Follow me" and Levi gets up and follows him - and opens up his house to him for a great banquet.  He treats Jesus as if her were the Great Bridegroom from yesterday's reading.  Of course, the Pharisees and scribes grumbled - here was the Son of God associating with those not considered worthy.  And then Jesus sets them straight - He did not come for the "righteous" but for sinners. The next time I'm feeling unworthy or not good enough, I can remind myself that Jesus came for me - God's love for me in the flesh.
